I’ve recently stumbled onto this great website called The Inspiration Blog which offers a great deal of visual inspiration for everyone. :D One of their latest offerings from this week is a list of 20 amazing digital matte paintings. The above picture is one of my favorites. You should definitely check out the link to see it up close.

For those of us looking to update our wardrobes going into fall and winter please first take a look Gossip Girl on Acid a new style article by the lovely Gala Darling. I personally need a new blazer (or blazers because you can never have too many in my opinon) and dressing them up with vintage pins and badges is an awesome idea!

For another link about fashion, College Fashion has a two part series up about 20 Modern Pieces Every Girl Should Own. While I don’t agree with all of the choices I will say that I do own a lot of the pieces they mentioned and would like to own some others. I have no idea what I’d do without my ballet flats and blazer. And I’ve been thinking of integrating scarves into my wardrobe.

I’ve recently been into online comics lately and have found an amazing one called “Girls with Slingshots”. It’s amazingly hilarious and updated 5 days a week. I read it from beginning to the most current strip in about 1 day and it’s almost 1000 strips!

Above is the trailer to the movie Burlesque starring Cher and Christina Aguilera. I can’t wait for it to come out! It looks like it could be really great and I’m a huge fan of Christina Aguilera. I just hope it’s as good as it looks.

Hey guys, it’s another edition of Fab Friday. It’s just my little part of the web where I share with you the sites that I found interesting this week.

Did you know that Lauen ‘Lo’ Bosworth has a blog? It’s called The Lo Down (which I think is so cute) and is a sort of guide to relationships, beauty, and just life in general. I was a big fan of her post about questions to ask your dermatologist. Definitely something to check out.

I’m really a bit pack rat. I’ve been that way for years and it’s so hard to stop. :) However, We Heart This had a great post this week about about important steps for lasting organizational success. Because like many I’m sure, I’ve organized and cleaned before, but I can never stick to a system. Hopefully this will help me find my own system and stick with it.

For those of you that don’t know American Eagle started a special deal this past Wednesday. According to Geeksugar, as well as a bunch of other blogs, if you try on a pair of AE jeans in store you get a $25 gift card for future purchases as well as a coupon code for a free smartphone. There different phones available from different phone companies. The phone are free from them you just have to sign a two year contract. Wish I’d gotten this email before I bought my new phone a few months ago. It would have saved me $200. :)

I absolutely adore College Fashion’s Disney Fashion Inspiration series. Each post features a different Disney princess around which different outfits are created. The most recent was Princess Jasmine from the Disney movie ‘Aladdin’. I’m looking forward to future posts since I’m still a Disney fan at heart.

And finally I want to share with you guys one of my favorite Korean recipes as done by a great guru on YouTube. I love all of her recipes, it gives me great practice. Especially since my mother cooks by feel and not actual measurements. The results are great but it’s hell trying to learn anything. lol

‘Cruel Intentions’ is one of my favorite movies of all time. I loved the story and the characters, especially Ryan Phillipe’s character. ;) Kathryn’s style was by far my favorite however. She was always chic and sophisticated, but not too over the top.

People are so hard on themselves unnecessarily. Don’t hate yourself for your mistakes. Instead, try to be kind to yourself.

I’ve been going through planner after planner this year and nothing is just quite right. However, Gala is in love with her Filofax. After reading her post I’ve been thinking about whether I want to get one as well. Check out her post if you are interested!

Who else thinks that the Bliss Pore-fector looks incredibly deadly? It’s like you can cut yourself on that thing! I would not want it anywhere near my face.

I’ve finally broken down and joined Tumblr. I’m really loving it. Especially fuckyeahbookshelves I’m such a book whore. ;)

I was completely blown away by this. It really puts things into perspective for you. Everyone should see it.

I have to say that eating healthy and on a budget is very hard this day and age with the rise of the cost of groceries and fast food chains. However, there is a site that boasts of a man that can eat well on $1 a day. In fact after the first month he extended his challenge and is into it with slightly modified rules. I have to say that it’s sounds pretty awesome. I don’t think that I could do it that well personally, but his site in general has some pretty good ways of saving on groceries. You should check it out.

And speaking of food, lately I have become absolutely obsessed with Japanesebento! I’ve been thinking out trying out this lifestyle for myself. It would be healthier and cheaper than eating out all the time. I’ve found different sites that offer recipes plus places to buy a bento boxes. My favorite all around site so far is Just Bento but Adventures in Bentomaking is pretty awesome too. And a good resource to buy supplies from is JBox. They sell a bunch of bento supplies plus other Japanese items.

I think that when people buy a new house or rent an apartment, a good view is almost always on the list of must haves. Unfortunately this is not something we can all get. However, here are some houses that did not have to compromise on that.

It’s been forever since I’ve done this. It’s mostly just because I’ve been so lazy about keeping track of interesting things I see on the web. lol I’m so bad. Anyway, here are some cool links that I’ve seen this week and I really wanted to share with everyone.

I adore young love. And these have to be the cutest kids I’ve ever seen!

Also from the same site, I’m really interested in hosting my own tea party. This should give me some great ideas.

I made this great cream cheese pound cake for my dad’s birthday. I didn’t make the strawberry coulis but it tasted really great. It was my first effort from scratch and I’m very proud of myself. :D

Summer is here and new shows are on their way! What do you guys watch during the summer? Do you fill up on reruns waiting for the fall shows to start back up or do you have an summer episodes you love to watch?

One of my new favorite authors, N. K. Jemisin, wrote a very interesting rant on the African American section in bookstores and libraries that I found very interesting and relevant. I’ve never looked at that section even though I am black because I’ve always been offended by obvious segregation of that section in the first place and the content that is really prevalent there.

I recently found a great site out there for creative types or just anyone. :D It’s called Miseducated. It has multiple contributors and has plenty of articles including lovely DIY projects or advice. It’s a great advice I recommend people visit.
